my bachelorette resort experience
First and foremost, this is NOT a sponsored post. I did not receive compensation for my unbiased review. This is simply an update and telling of my wonderful experience.
Located in the highly coveted Riviera Maya you will find a newly renovated, five star, all-inclusive resort: Fairmont Mayakoba
I recently stayed at Fairmont Mayakoba for my bachelorette and loved the experience. Mexico is truly a breath of fresh air with the nearly white sand beaches and salty atmosphere. This resort is all-inclusive but the food was not your standard buffet fare. It was excellent, tasty and provided everything I craved! The drinks were not watered down, and in-fact we enjoyed so many great drinks and craft cocktails! They have a steakhouse, Trattoria, dinner on the beach, in-room dining, a beach bar & Korean BBQ, and a “Sweet Spot” with all sorts of candies! We had many options and loved the presentation, flavors, portions, and staff. My favorite meal everyday was by far the breakfast! There were so much to choose from; Nachos, tacos, salad bra, fruit bar, pancakes, waffles, french toast, burritos, and so much more! We spent an hour at breakfast every morning to taste everything this hotel had to offer! This is the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever enjoyed.
Additionally, they had plenty of activities to keep guests entertained. My favorites were the boat rides along the river, lounging by the pool (yes, there are multiple!), and of course, enjoying the beach. The Riviera Maya PGA El Camaleón course is nearby if you so desire - I even heard Michael Jordan has golfed here! The golf cart shuttle service makes getting around the resort a breeze. There are also bikes for guest use throughout the property to get around or for a nice exercise. The resort is surrounded by lots of lush greenery and you experience all the tropical forest vibes while staying here.
Some exceptional features of Fairmont Mayakoba are their Fitness Center, Kids Club, and Willow Stream Spa. They also have some suites with gorgeous, private beachfront pools or of the lake that surrounds the resort. The Muuk Gym is an awesome workout space, with equipment, ON THE BEACH. Yes, I was just as surprised as you. We saw lots of people working out and even getting paddleboards and boogie boards for some in-water fun. The outdoor showers are another nice touch at this property. Sometimes you just want some peace and quiet and at a lot of resorts I have found that the only place to do that is at the spa or in your room but here, at Fairmont Mayakoba, they had many little secluded spots to be quiet but also only steps away from the busy and fun parts of the resort. Think “book reading, meditating, journaling, etc.”
The renovated rooms are spacious and well designed. We were able to share rooms and had enough space that we even hosted a lingerie party in one room. I really appreciated the large and clean rooms, not to mention how comfortable the furniture was. This is just what you want when going to an all-inclusive resort; a true magical vacation. It is clear that they thought of their guests’ satisfaction while designing the resort and making the recent upgrades. It is suitable for a family, couples, or a girls trip, but there were a lot of kids while we were there. This may be because it was around Spring Break.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back! Now that Covid precautions are not as severe/new I feel I can enjoy more of what I used to with our new norm of masks and mass amounts of hand sanitizer in most public and heavily trafficked spaces. All of which I do not mind for my safety and others! If you have any questions or would like to reach out before planning your trip to RIviera Maya I would love to tell you more about my experience and all the fun things you can take advantage of while there. Also, a few things I may have done differently, as hindsight really is 20/20.
Sending you all love from a newly reset and rejuvenated Royal-Loren.
