3 Tips for New CBD Users

CBD is becoming a lot more popular today. There has been an insatiable consumer demand and people seem to be more focused on CBD right now rather than THC because of the health benefits without having to be high. As we know, no one will prescribe your CBD (and that day may never come), so it is up to you to educate yourself and use how you want! CBD products are not coming off the market anytime soon, especially when dispensaries are considered “essential.” Therefore,  let's educate ourselves on the best uses and consumptions for our own personal reasons and health.

Here are the first few tips to know when shopping for CBD.

Be Clear on the definitions:

Understand the difference in broad spectrum, full spectrum, and isolate, and know that most manufacturers won't tell you if you’re using an ISO or FSO. Think about being in the checkout line at Rite Aid and you see CBD lotion. It is likely that the CBD is ISO instead of full-spectrum.

The natural factors of the oil or plant come from the full plant extraction which means that good reception to your body means everything.

So, which one are you buying?

Broad Spectrum: Contains cannabidiol and all other compounds within the plant. Use broad spectrum if you do not want THC

Full spectrum: Contains all the phytochemicals naturally found in the plant and is the least processed

Isolate: Purest form because it removes other ingredients and highest concentration

Know your intake:

CBD effects differ from one person to the next. It’s ability to aid the endocannabinoid system may lead to a balancing effect on mood, stress, recovery, sleep, and more. Find out why you want to use it and then figure out how you want to use it.

If you are taking CBD to sleep than you would take it differently if you were using it to calm morning anxiety. If you are taking CBD for menstrual cramps, you would use it differently for migraines. First, find your reasons to take CBD and then start small to try different doses that work for you.

Why Care?

Why should you care? Because ideally you would want hemp that has a super high amount of terpenes which connect the cannabinoids to their targets and provide the body with much better quality of full spectrum. Most people won’t know the difference and won’t know to ask, but now that you do, you can pick the best spectrum for yourself. If you are a first time CBD user, you can try broad spectrum. If you want a product that does not have a taste or order, find products made from an isolate. Either way, do your research, start small, and find what works for you!
